We are currently contacting the citizens of Altus and the community by phone to askfor your donations. If you are contacted please feel free to ask for verification as to who the caller represents. We appreciate your help.
All our donations are used on behalf of the Lodge and a large portion is returned to the community. The Altus FOP donates to several local events and organizations, as well as helping officers and their families in times of tragedy. The Altus FOP is currently sponsoring a little league baseball team for the summer of 2008. We are also in the process of taking over Safety Town, and using this property to educate the children of our community on roadside safety. The FOP provides scholarships to high school students in the area. We are active in the community and we share a long term goal for the success of our city with those in the community, as well as our City government. The FOP also supports our local police officers in their pursuit to create a better and safer work enviroment. Please assist us in making the Altus Police and the Altus area a safer and better place to live and work. The FOP is a non-profit organization.
For Donations or Sponsorship from the FOP
If your organization would like a donation or sponsorship from the Altus Fraternal Order of Police, please contact one of the Executive Board Members to be placed on the agenda for a meeting. If you are unable to attend a meeting, please make your request in writing and mail it to the above address. You can also bring your written request to the Altus Police Department and address it to FOP President Derek Vassar or email your written request to dvassar@cityofaltus.org. You may be required to attend a meeting to present your request and/or provide further information to the Lodge Members before voting.
